Product Coverage
The iNavigate Menu, is supported in two modes, Active and Passive. The fully functional mode being Active, where the menus operate dynamically and Passive Mode, where the menus are fully open and static.
Our priority is to have Active Mode working as well as possible on as many capable platforms as possible. We currently support Active Mode on the following:
The iNavigate menus are switched on and Active for:
-
Internet Explorer 4.0+
-
Firefox (formerly Firebird and Pheonix) 0.1+
-
Netscape 6.0+
-
Mozilla 0.6+ & other Gecko-powered browsers
-
Opera 7.0+
-
Opera 5.12+ [Partial Active Mode, inline with browser capabilities]
-
Camino (formerly Chimera) 0.5+
On Mac, this includes:
-
Internet Explorer 5.1+ on OS X
-
Firefox 0.1+ on OS X
-
Netscape 6.1+ on OS X
-
Camino 0.5+ on OS X
-
Internet Explorer 4.5 and 5.0+ on Classic Mac
-
Netscape 6.0+ on Classic Mac
We essentially support Passive Mode on all other browsers/versions/platforms, for example, those which are not capable like Netscape 4.x.
Passive Mode support on Mac includes:
-
Omiweb 4.0+
-
iCab 2.8 beta
Our other priority is to have Passive Mode supported as widely as possible, which "should" happen essentially by default.
For beta browsers, like iCab and Mozilla, it is our intention to get the appropriate Mode to work within the published interfaces and report bugs to the browser vendor where appropriate.
As a general principle we'll address issues with respect to browser demographics balanced against development effort.
