iNavigate 4.2
-
Java Script Performance Enhancements
Work-arounds for rendering problems in old beta editions of the Gecko Engine (Mozilla Browser) have been removed.
Breadcrumb generation code has been removed. Breadcrumbs are now generated as static HTML by the Generator.
These changes enhance script performance for all browsers and reduce script size for improved download time.
-
Graphics Pre-Loading
Javascript code is now generated to pre-load the menu graphics for improved performance on page load and on rendering of menu open/close.
-
Sitemap includes Sub Pages
Sitemaps created by the Generator now include Sub Pages.
-
Programatic support for open/close specific nodes
Javascript methods OpenNode and CloseNode have been added to allow individual Menu nodes to be opened/closed in response to events on the browser.
-
Enhanced Ability to Add Foreign Pages
Foreign Pages can be added by Drag-Drop of the URL from a Browser window (IE or Gecko engined) onto the Generator.
Such items are marked as Foreign Pages and have Target set to "_blank".
-
Enhanced Foreign Pages URL Management
When setting an item as a Foreign Page, "http://" is added to the corresponding URL if it's not already there.
-
URL and File Name Syncrhonization
URL and File Name are automatically syncrhonized by the generator if the file name and extension match.

-
XSLT based generation
iNavigate now uses industry standard XSLT as it's menu generation engine.
This allows Professional Mode users much greater power to customize the generation process than was possible with the old ini file approach.
The core XSLT processor is embedded in the software to prevent accidental damage.
The XSL files that ship with the product are called from the core XSLT and control the fine detail of all generator output.
